August 2017 Milestones:
1.We have immense pleasure to announce that HCI has received the highest grade of 5 STAR ACCREDITATION with a Score of 48 out of 50 in the recently conducted National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) – Centre Accreditation inspection. With this, HCI is now an accredited training center that offers Government of India recognized National and International Skill Courses, with government funding schemes.
2. The AHA team conducted BLS and ACLS sessions in Rahman hospital, Assam, from the 31st of July to the 7th of August. 2 batches were conducted and there were 20 students in each.
3. The AHA team also conducted sessions at PVS hospital from the 16th to 18th of August and also at MES hospital, Perinthalmanna, on the 20th of August.
4. The mobilization program for GDA (General Duty Assistant), was conducted at Ezhikkara Panchayath this month. 5. The GDA mobilization was also conducted at Kalamassery Municipality.
6. Further, another GDA mobilization was conducted at Chendamangalam Panchayath.
7. The clinical training for the first batch of GDA students was started at various hospitals in the city. The hospitals where they have been receiving training are: Sunrise hospital, Cochin hospital and Lakshmi hospital.

8. The final assessment for the first batch of GDA students was conducted on the 27th of this month.
9. The 2nd batch of GDA commenced at our institute on the 28th of August.
10. The 2nd batch of GDA students celebrated Onam on the 29th of August.
11. The internship for the students attending the ASAP program was started at Nedumchalil Eye hospital.
12 .The ASAP students also receive training at Snehaveedu, a care home.
13. OET department has started online training sessions for those who find it inconvenient to attend face to face classes. This commenced on the 16th of August and we have 7 students who take training online.
14.A preliminary interview and pretest was conducted as part of NCAP for those who wished to work in hospitals in the Middle East. 13 candidates attended the session.
