July 2017 Milestones:

  1. Mr. Bijo Kunnumpurath, CEO and Managing Director of HCI group visited our office on the 4th of July and shared views on how we can implement Microsoft teams into improving our output.
  2. An official visit of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTRADE) was conducted on 04th July 2017, Tuesday, at the Health Careers Institute, Kadavanthara.

  3.  Mr. Jeril Cherian, Principal, HCI achieved a milestone in his career as he became the     2nd Rank holder in “Skill India Fellowship.” The Skill India Fellowship was                       conducted to ‘Celebrate Excellence in Skills Training’ by Aspiring Minds                             (International Assessment Body) in association with NSDC to empower the goal of         Skill India Movement.
    The selection process was in different stages:

    • Online Application
    • Online assessment (conducted in 10 cities of India). In this stage the Technical knowledge of their trade and decision making ability through situational testing were assessed.
    • Personal interviews were conducted in NEWS zones of India.
    • The results were announced and Mr. Jeril won the 2nd rank and received the award on 7th July at the Sheraton Hotel, New Delhi.j1 j2 j3
  4. A student mobilization workshop for GDA (General Duty Assistant) was conducted at Kottuvally Panchayath.

  5. A GDA course promotion was conducted at Ettumanoor Panchayath by our Marketing division.

6. Health Careers Institute celebrated ‘World Youth Skill Day’ as instructed by National            Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Ministry of Skill Development and                  Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Govt. of India. In regard to this, HCI conducted a roads on       14th July 2017, starting from Health Careers Institute, Bhattathiripadu Road to                    Kadavanthara and back to HCI.

7. Health Careers Institute also conducted a health program in connection with ‘World              Youth Skill Day’ at Govt HSS Chandiroor (ASAP Skill Development Centre) on the 16th         of this month. Health Careers institute (HCI) jointly participated in coordinating and          supporting the students who are attending the course of “Home Health Aide” in                   carrying out  activities such as checking Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index,                               demonstrating Basic Life Support Skills and Management of choking.

8.  An audit by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was conducted on the 17th of July, 2017. The staff worked hard and contributed to the successful completion of the audit.

9. The AHA (American Heart Association) team of HCI, conducted BLS and ACLS classes at various hospitals in Ernakulam this month. 8 nurses attended the program conducted at Amrita hospital from 3rd to the 5th of July. 15 nurses attended the sessions at Lakeshore hospital from 7th to the 9th of July and 6 nurses attended the session conducted at PVS hospital from 20th to the 22nd of this month.

10.  Mr Jeril and Mr Jain successfully completed the trainer’s training program on Employability, Entrepreneurship and Life Skills for NSDC Training Partners conducted by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) from 24th to 26th July in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra.
