We are pleased to share with you some exciting FedUni updates about new scholarships, an easier online application system and 48-hour response time.
New scholarships available
In recognition of the great achievements of international students and to support students with their studies, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FoST) at Federation University Australia is offering Executive Dean Scholarships to new international students commencing in 2016.
The value of each scholarship is equivalent to 20% of fees for the first year (up to AUD$5600 depending on course). The scholarship will be extended year by year until the end of the program, if the student passes all courses with a Credit average.
There are no additional forms to complete, and students will automatically be considered when their application to study is submitted.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants should have a minimum English IELTS of 5.5 with no band less than 5.5 or relevant equivalent. Applicants wishing to undertake undergraduate studies should have an overall academic performance with Distinction in senior high school studies. Applicants wishing to undertake postgraduate studies should have an overall academic performance with Credit in a bachelor degree study from a Higher Education Section 1 University. Applicants will need to accept the offer within 3 weeks from the date of the offer letter.
Accepting the offer will also allow access to a range of other FedUni scholarships that can assist towards course materials and accommodation up to the value of $AUD2000.
Easier applications with 48-hour response
FedUni has updated their online application system and made it easier for you to submit a student application.
You’ll no longer require a fee waiver code, simply select your agency from the drop down menu and you’ll be able to proceed as normal with the application. You’ll also receive a response within 48 hours with how the application is going.
Student communication commencing soon
To help students make their choices and to accept their offers, FedUni will be contacting students who have submitted an application to study in Semester 1 2016 soon. They will share tips about why FedUni is the right choice, how to accept their offer and the importance of submitting missing documentation.
