HCG Bulletin February 2018 – Editorial

February is the shortest month of the year, but it’s a very happening month at HCG! We’ve managed to pack in a lot of work- workshops, seminars, and many new enrollments into various programs in the country and overseas. We firmly believe that education has the power to change the very fabric of society— it leads to advancement of technology and skills, and empowers individuals to bring about a transformation through new knowledge. At HCG, we’re doing our bit to catalyze this radical transformation. We like to believe we are changing lives through forward-looking education, and equipping our students to face complex challenges in tomorrow’s world. We thank all our staff across all our offices, for your hard work and dedication which is the backbone of our growth. Way to go, all of you!

Cancer is a dreaded disease, but four in ten cancers are said to be preventable through lifestyle changes. Almost all of us would have been touched in one way or the other by cancer; by knowing a loved one such as a parent, sibling, cousin, or friend who has had the disease. Some of the risk factors for cancer include weight and diet, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity and sun exposure. World Cancer Day is held on February 4th every year, in a global effort to raise awareness and push for action on cancer. It is a truly commendable initiative under which the whole world can join together in the fight against this killer disease. HCG joins the world in this fight by raising awareness and education about cancer.

That’s it from us for now! If you’d like to voice your thoughts and share them with the rest of our readers, do send in your news and views to usha@mwtedu.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
