A comprehensive seminar on Infection Control was held at the Institute of Health and Management, Kadavanthra, Kochi on the 6th of April 2013. This one-day seminar was organized and conducted by Mr. Adarsh P Joseph (Nurse Educator -IHM). 36 delegates from different organizations attended the seminar, and gained a lot of valuable information from the presentation.
The course material was divided into three sessions .The seminar commenced with the first session, efficiently managed by Mr. Jerry James(Nurse Educator-IHM) on “Introduction to Infection Control”. Following this, Mr. Jobin M A(Nurse Educator-IHM) presented the topic “Nosocomial infections” during the second session. The seminar concluded with the third session on “Prevention of needle stick injury, Proper use of PPE, Hand rub and Hand washing” which included pertinent demonstrations that served to elucidate the material. These demonstrations were presented by Sahri S, Sijo Sebastian and Juhi K Raju (Nurse Educators -IHM) respectively.
