MWT Bulletin-October 2016 Editorial

diwaliFestive greetings to all our readers, and a very happy Diwali to you! May the Festival of Lights bring joy to all your lives.

Sri Sri Ravishankar asks us all to celebrate Diwali with lamps, as Diwali lamps will kindle the light of wisdom in every heart. As he has beautifully expressed, “light the lamp of love in your heart; the lamp of abundance in your home; the lamp of compassion to serve others; the lamp of Knowledge to dispel the darkness of ignorance and the lamp of gratitude for the abundance that the Divine has bestowed on us!”

In our own way, the MWT team aims to spread knowledge and education, lighting up our corner of the world! We thank all of you for your sincere efforts and dedication towards keeping these symbolic lamps lit at MWT throughout the year!

Polio, a crippling and potentially fatal disease is almost a thing of the past now, with infected numbers having come down dramatically. The 1950s saw the development of the first polio vaccine by Jonas Salk, and with widespread efforts on to eradicate the disease, it is hoped that vaccination efforts and early detection of cases will result in wiping out the disease by the year 2018. We bring you an article.

Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by writing in to usha@mwtedu.com. I do look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time, then! Take care, all of you!
