January 2017 Milestones:

  1. On December 7 2016, in Thiruvanthapuram, Health Careers has signed an agreement with the Government of Kerala, within the KASE (Kerala State Academy for Skills Excellence) program, that will enable the Australian based educator develop the skills of nurses as they prepare to pursue careers in India and internationally.

In partnership with the Government of Kerala, Health Careers will establish the KASE Global Nursing Leadership Academy in Cochin, Kerala. The Academy will offer a Nursing Career Advancement Program (NCAP), which is an internationally developed advanced study program for nurses that will upgrade their knowledge, skills and competence.

2 Mr Jeril Cherian conducted an in-service education on “Restraints” on January 9th.


3.  A First Aid training programme was conducted at Sub Regional Transport office, North Paravur, Ernakulam on January 11th The training program was arranged by Kerala Motor Vehicle Department as a part of Road Safety Week 2017.The function was inaugurated by Mr Biju James, Joint RT Officer, North Paravur. Mr Sreejith and Mr Eldhose were the lead educators.

1 2 34. An Induction programme for staff nurses was organized by Health Careers at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai on 14th January 2017. The session will continue till 10th February 2017.

4 55. We conducted American Heart Association’s (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS) classes at various places. Our instructors led the course with competence.

6.An orientation class was conducted for Additional Skill Acquisition program (Regular course) for the Job role – Home Health Aide at GHSS Pezhakkappilly, Muvattupuzha on 21st January 2017 and at Govt HSS, Chandiroor, Alappuzha on 26/01/2017. Ms Elmy Baby led the class.
