teachers day5th September, the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, is celebrated across India as Teachers’ Day. On this day, we show our gratitude to our teachers and mentors who have shaped us into the persons we are today, and celebrate the contributions made by teachers to the community. Teachers have the power of inspiring their students and positively impacting the future of our country. Every student on this day recognises the contribution of his or her teacher.

Dr. Radhakrishnan was the second President of India; and was a great teacher, philosopher and a strong supporter of education. Rather than have the nation celebrating his birthday separately, he requested that the day should be observed as Teachers’ Day in order to honour all the teachers in India. This truly showed his love for the teaching profession and since the year 1962, 5th September has been celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India.

At MWT, we show our appreciation for all our teachers and instructors who guide every one of our students and help them to achieve their highest potential.
