Visit to Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly

The Little Flower Hospital and Research Centre, an 850 bedded multispecialty hospital in Angamaly, is a not-for-profit organization registered as a charitable trust. The teaching wing of the hospital imparts training in various fields of Medical, Paramedical and Nursing care.

On the 9th of September our 12 delegates from Australia visited the Little Flower Hospital along with Mr. Bijo Kunnumpurath, Jomet Mani and Dr. Jacob. They visited various departments and the nursing college, and the delegates could see first-hand the quality and methodology of care imparted to the patients in the hospital. Through direct interaction with the hospital authorities, they gained a better understanding about health care delivery and made some suggestions to improve existing conditions. During a sparkling and interactive session with the students and staff, many queries were raised and the students were able to clear their doubts regarding the overseas programs available for nursing.

The hospital is also a recognized research centre, and our overseas delegates had a guided tour of the research facilities available at the hospital.
