MWT Bulletin – July 2016 Editorial

A warm welcome to all our dear readers!

There’s been a lot happening across MWT offices this month. We’re excited to announce that MWT-IHM has been selected as an India International Skill Centre(IISC) under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). In a bid to bridge the global labour shortage in the years to come, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has set up the Skill India Mission, and identified leading training institutes to set up India International Skill Centres that can provide skill training to a global level for our talented youth. We will be scaling up our training efforts in our endeavour to uphold the Indian Government’s vision.

Our students continue to excel in colleges abroad and make us proud! As more and more of them join the ranks of confident and competent healthcare graduates across the world, we wish them all the very best in their careers.

World Hepatitis Day was celebrated the world across on 28 July 2016. As the seventh leading cause of death globally, there is an urgent need to step up efforts at the prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis. With more awareness, deaths and disabilities from this ‘silent killer’ disease can be drastically reduced. We bring you an article on this.

If you have any news you would like to share with the MWT family – please do write in to usha@mwtedu.com , I look forward to hearing from you.

As the monsoons continue with unabated vigour, we urge you all to stay indoors and stay dry!

Adios!
